Data scientists transmit duplicate information to electronic data systems. They typically monitor the entire conversion process, working closely with customers to ensure that this data is accurate and available. A data collector will often analyze existing customer systems and develop a program for that particular system. In some cases, a data scientist may design a data collection or program needed to replace the data.

Create reports

Data scientists should regularly provide updates on the progress of the consumer conversion program. They should present reports on work and work disruptions, exceptions, costs and analysis results.

Provide technical support and assistance

Once a conversion project is completed, a data scientist typically trains a client using a database or software system. Data scientists also protect databases and answer any questions users have about the system.
