Technology coordinators often have many responsibilities, and your employer will determine exactly what those responsibilities are. Provide support to users
Often times a technology coordinator will be required to provide assistance to information system users. This may involve communicating with local and remote users in person, over the phone, or via email. This feature requires troubleshooting and a solid understanding of computers.
Implement the technology
A technology coordinator is responsible for implementing new technologies and relaunching current systems. This may include planning the system, creating cost analyzes, ordering supplies, coordinating with vendors, working or supervising the installation of components, planning system tests, and creating training for users of new technology.
Projects management
Technology coordinators will often be in charge of managing various technology projects. They will need to assemble an appropriate team, research technologies, schedule meetings, schedule project deadlines, and monitor project implementation. Some technology coordinators will have large teams to work with, while others will be asked to do many of the tasks themselves.
